Patrick Miller (PhD) is passionate about creating sustainable, resilient, compassionate, and creative communities. As a transportation planner and consultant, Patrick has worked with public, private and non-profit clients across North America and around the world to develop long range transit strategies and to design and implement behaviour change campaigns, all the while pushing his clients to take innovative and holistic approaches to sustainability analysis. With planning experience in urban areas across Canada, the USA, Japan, and Zambia, Patrick brings a global perspective to sustainability, social innovation, and urban transportation.
Since 2013, Patrick has volunteered as the leader of EWB’s Global Engineering Education Venture, which works with universities to develop innovative education opportunities that prepare students to be leaders in the 21st century. Having a long history of leadership himself, Patrick was named one of Alberta’s Top 30 Under 30 in 2013. He completed a PhD at the age of 25 on the role of public transit in enabling urban sustainability; and, at just 26, is currently a Senior Consultant with Steer Davies Gleave, a UK based transportation planning and consulting firm.
